Joy comes in the morning

Well it has been a crazy week. On Dec. 14, my grandma went to the er and was admitted, we then found out she had small cell lung cancer. At first we were told that she had about a year. So she decided to fight and take radiation, because it had spread throughout her body including to her brain. She was with us on christmas day. That day her legs just quit working. The next day she was suppost to start treatment she ended up back at the hospital, where she was told she had a couple of months. Mom brought her home to her house on Sat. Dec. 29. She no longer had any use of her legs at this point. she was in so much pain. We called Hospic in. They took care of her for 3 days. We got her pain under control and got my uncle and my brother here. By this time Grandma had stopped eating, drinking, and talking. She had the death gurgles. And on Saturday Jan. 5, 2013 at 9:10 am Grandma went home to be with the Lord. It was very hard. But we were together as a family, we grieved as a family. Now we have to remember our memories that we have of her. Like her beautiful smile. Her laugh. Her willingness to try just about anything. Her peek-a-boo sock monkey. Always buying for others. She was such a wonderful woman. I will miss her greatly. But as I miss her and mourn because she left, God reminded me today during our praise and worship at church. As we were down here praising the Lord, She had a front row seat to praise Him. She had a private audiance today. We will always love you grandma.....and will cherish the memories we have.
